This is not so much a recipe as a review of the home brewing kit made by Coopers for a basic Cerveza. This is the extract kit you see with a picture of what looks like a Corona on the front of the can. This cerveza home brewing kit has been brewed using just the basic kit and mixed with a brew booster. No finishing hops etc have been used.
Review
This kit is by far the most simple way to brew a very good Cerveza that is a very good clone for Corona. With some other kits you need to be very patient with the bottle conditioning and it can take 4 months or more for the sour taste to dissipate. Not so with this kit.
I brewed it with Brew Booster, Ultra Brew and Cooper's own brew Booster No.2 (recommended on the can). All 3 produce great results. The Coopers Brew Booster No.2 produces a lighter, more crisp brew. The ultra brew and brew booster produce a cerveza with more flavour and more mouth feel. All work well though.
But the thing with this kit is you can be drinking a good Corona clone only 3 weeks after bottling. It is better if left longer, but still quite good at the early stages and doesn't have the strong, sour taste others have early on.
Strongly recommended for those wanting to brew a top quality cerveza easily.
